So sorry I haven't updated its been so crazy, starting with getting the house done, late nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays, the redemption seminar ( a special event put on through Living Hope Fellowship), preparing for school, and cleaning. So its been a long busy week, but us interns are always ready for a challenge. We all work fairly well together.
Just a quick updated, we have two classes starting this next week so keep us in your prayers. Eventually as the computer lab gets done and the computers get put in. We will be taking 23 credits of schooling, 8 of the credits will be "live" with teachers. The rest of the credits will be online with a schooling called "Zoe" So keep us in your prayers as we learn to balance School, work, side jobs, and the select ministries we have chosen to be in. Also the house is almost done. The bathroom will be done Monday, and so should the kitchen as all we have left to do is paint, do the counter tops and put in the sink and then also the 3rd and back bedroom in the house. The 3rd and back bedroom will be the most work as it will need sheet rock and some new walls, but every leader has faith that it will be done in an orderly fashion. So also keep that in your prayers.
Ok as for Wednesday night slides, Wednesday nights are what we are now calling The Source ( youth group) we do announcements every Wednesdays for promotions of upcoming events or encouraging the kids to get involved in something. Like Twitter, we are encouraging everyone to follow us on twitter, if you would like to follow me my username is @KaylaHoge, Also Breakouts ( Home groups) Breakouts are more of being one on one with kids, building relationships and giving kids a free place to ask questions, and safe place to be. Also, You will see the sermons slides that i create when Pastor Jared gives his sermons.

Update
Here is an update for the last week.
All that we have been doing is working on the house, trying to get it finished, We cleaned the entire church in 2 hours on Saturday, so then we had the rest of the day off, Our longest days of the weeks are Wednesday and Thursday as we have youth group and University group.
All of the interns are getting along very well, and we all seem to really be working well together, We've learned to depend on each other for prayer, to be the intern family, eat together, work together and hang out together. Ive never grown with people so fast and be able to openly share some of my life. I really enjoy working and being around each and every one of the interns.
Keep us in your prayers, we are starting to get on a schedule and we will be starting school September 1st. So it will be really busy when things really get started. Also, keep praying that everything with the house keeps running smoothly, We are a little behind schedule, but we were updated today that both bathrooms will be done tomorrow and that the back bedroom (the one I'm NOT sleeping in) will be done the beginning of next week. So we should be moving in next week some time. So keep praying that, we move in and that the work runs smoothly.
Thanks everyone for your prayers, And for looking at my blog,
Sorry for being behind, but its been quite busy around here!
Love you guys!

Day 1 of week 2
Here we go with week 2, Tuesdays are usually one of the hardest days, we clean the entire church except the sanctuary. It took us about 5 to 6 hours to clean, that includes, an hour and a half meeting with Jared, a prayer meeting for an hour and a half an hour lunch. Usually on Tuesdays we are not done until 6 but since we had all of our cleaning done, and there were no side projects we were able to go for the day! I cant say enough about how much I enjoy being around each and every intern this year. Ive strived for friends, almost my entire life and in this little group of people, I believe Ive found friends, (besides the amazing ones that I have). Not only did I make friends, but I feel apart of a family.
When I first moved down here, my life seem to be so on track, I was so ready to start going after my dream. But as we all know some things went wrong. If I didnt have thee support of my family and the support of the Brock family. I dont think that I will be with the church or have anything to do with the internship. My life is better than i ever thought it could be. God can truly turn something horrible into something so amazing!
Well thats all for now! Thanks for looking at my blog!

Update of day 3, 4, 5, and 6
So sorry about not being able to updated my blog the last 3 days of this week, like i wanted to, but it got busy to where I was not getting home till about 1030 and had to be up early.
So Day 3 (thursday)
The girls, (Kenzi, Destiny, and myself) cleaned out the whole shed that was as big as a garage, that had an upstairs and downstairs, we organized and cleaned the whole shed and listened to music, and talked while we did our work for the day. It was really a great bonding time for the girls. We missed Andrea as she had to work but for the 3 of us it was good bonding time. After that we were assigned to do the touch up paint upstairs. After we were done with the touch up paint we were free to go home to get ready. On Thursday we had University group, which is all our college age students, students who have just graduated high school are able to attend. We had to wait for them to leave and then clean up. Which didnt allow me to be home till about 1015.
Day 4 (Friday)
We worked on the house some more, sweeping and mopping, but we also had to move the boys intern parent stuff to the church upstairs so we can start working on our living room. That was mostly our day project. Along with mopping and sweeping, wiping down walls and just bonding with everyone, we had a couple meetings with Pastor Jared before leaving. We were off at about 6pm. The interns decided we wanted time to chill and just hang out together, so 5 out of the 7 of us went to Destiny's house to enjoy pizza and a couple of movies, by the time the movies were over and I took some people home, I got home around 11:15.
Day 5 (Saturday)
This was the longest hardest day of the week, I thought personally, We cleaned the ENTIRE church for the first time as a group of interns, with some of the meetings that we had and our lunch break, it took us roughly 6 to 7 hours to clean the ENTIRE church. Although it was long, and very hot in the church we did everything as a group and for most of the time the 7 of us got to bond and hang out and just really learn a lot about us and our lives. Even though it was long it was a really good day. :)
Day 6 (Sunday)
Our first Sunday as interns together. We were there at 8, had a meeting with Jared, and then got to go to a big prayer meeting with the entire church staff and leaders. It was really great seeing the leaders all join together for prayer, supporting one another through there hard times. I was able to attend 1st service for my spiritual food, it was a great message by Pastor Bryan as our lead Pastor (Pastor Jess) is at a conference. The message was about Stress, trials, and difficulties. It was absolutely amazing, and a great message for me as I am a big stress person and going into the internship can cause me to stress. 2nd service, I worked back in Hope Kids, on the registration, Clocking students in and taking them to there classes. After Church was over, we had a quick meeting with Jared, and we were done for the rest of the day and Monday we have off.
So theres an Update on my first week of the internship. Thanks again for looking at my blog!

Day 2

The rose that you saw up above, was out in the middle of the wood pile ready for burning and I looked at the rose and my mind started to turn, thinking about this rose made me apply it to life. Even though our lives get to be so ugly and so horrible (like the wood pile), sometimes we cant even stand how bad our lives are, we wonder why God is putting us through it, we think that it isn't fair but then something beautiful happens (like the rose) and we understand the reasoning of why God put us through it and after a trial our lives turn into something that's beautiful and absolutely breath taking. So if your going through a hard time right now, stand strong and know that God is working not only in you but the people around you. He is working in everything in life all around you, and he will bring something beautiful, like the rose, into your life.
Thats all that I have for now!
Thanks for looking and reading my blog!
Love you all,

Day 1 Internship 2011
Well, day one is complete. We started at the house that the girls will be living at, since there was electrical, bathrooms, and roofing to be done all the interns started outside, we weeded, trim trees, raked, clean the gutters, raked leaves, swept the roof to get all the moss off, and then sprayed everything with weed killer, bug killer, and moss killer. We also took off paneling in the kitchen, cleaned out the fridge, cleaned the stove, swept the kitchen floor, put the dishes in a box, threw the leftover food away, and cleaned the counters. Our leadership team (Interns) worked so well that we were off earlier than what was set for us to get off at. I absolutely love everyone in the internship and think that we are going to make a great team. Since the electrical, bathrooms and roofing will still need to be worked on tomorrow, there may not be much we can do inside the house. We still need to figure out the garage and clean all that out, since that will turn into our lounge, we need to paint both inside and out, we will need to clean all the bedrooms, clean the living room, clean the windows, and much more, but thats hard to do when there is 7 interns plus workers trying to get all the bathrooms done and more, so there may not be a lot that we can do. Although we've run into these problems, I'm thankful that we all get to spend time and grow together and learn more about the others. I can't wait to start painting, and to get the house done. I think the house has a lot of potential to look very nice and be a very cute house for more interns to come.
Well I think thats about it for tonight!
